We Show Our Support For The Cedar Rapids’ Community

We have served the Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and surrounding communities since 1986. We continue to find ways we can give back by contributing to charitable causes like the Especially for You Race as well as supporting local non-profit organizations like the Cedar Valley Humane Society.

  • Donated money to the Humane Society for pet food
  • Ran a campaign and raised money for breast cancer awareness, given locally to a women’s health clinic
  • Helped a family by adding a bathroom at no cost when the parents were killed in a traffic accident, and the children went to live with relatives with only one bathroom.
  • Ran a ‘Random Acts of Plumbing’ campaign to help needy families. We helped two families at no cost to them.
  • Donated plumbing fixtures to a faith based women’s shelter in Cedar Rapids. Included were new showers, toilets, and sink/faucet combinations.
  • Adopted a family each Christmas through a local mission, to give a less fortunate family Christmas presents.
  • Donated a HUGE amount of plumbing fixtures to Habitat for Humanity to use in their programs for new and remodeled homes.

Meet Master Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Owner, Dave Judd

Dave’s career in plumbing began as a Navy Seabee. Dave volunteered twice and served two tours in Viet Nam. After surviving many dangerous missions, he returned home to his birthplace in New York City. He later moved to Iowa and graduated from Cornell College with a degree in psychology.

After a stint as a drug abuse counselor and then a Linn County Probation Officer, he returned to plumbing. Dave has been a member of the Cedar Rapids Plumbing Appeals Board and teaches a course on heating the home with wood at Kirkwood Community College in the evenings. He previously taught plumbing to Rockwell Collins’ employees and the Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors Association. Dave’s an avid house boater, metal worker, woodworker, photographer and fused glass enthusiast.

Of all the plumbers in the United States, a select few get the honor of being featured on the cover of the plumbing industry’s largest national trade publication, Plumbing and Mechanical Magazine. Dave has been on the cover of this magazine twice, an honor held by only six others in the United States.

Dave has also been featured in the Cedar Rapids Gazette, Cedar Rapids local news programs and Remodeling Magazine. Prior to state licensing he held licenses in six cities. He’s built a team of energetic, personable, experienced, caring and knowledgeable people.

Meet Master Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Owner, Tom Hall

Tom Hall began his career in the plumbing industry right out of high school. He’s worked for small companies and very large ones as well. Like many of us, he started at the bottom doing the most menial jobs but rose to manage more than twenty service personnel.

Tom is unique in that he’s equally proficient at plumbing, heating AND cooling. It takes years to master all the intricacies of residential and commercial plumbing. Very few plumbers ever bridge the gap to also master heating and cooling. HVAC (heating, ventilating and air conditioning) requires a hefty knowledge of electrical theory and application, which ties into the complex appliances used to heat and cool. Tom is our guru when it comes to advising our field technicians, as well as managing a busy office.

In his spare time you may find Tom working on his vintage houseboat, spending time on the water with his wife, remodeling his home or socializing with his many friends. He may corner his Dad to spend hours discussing business and the state of the world or he might take his grown daughter on road trips. He’s a people person, and he’d love to talk to you.
